Fresh off a >$2M funding round led by Soma Capital with top Silicon Valley angels, we’re hiring a passionate <strong>Junior Software Engineer</strong> to help build the next phase of our development as we expand to new markets. This fully remote role is a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills and get exposure to an exciting, fast-moving Silicon Valley startup, all while working IST hours.</p><p><strong>What you’ll do</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Collaborate with senior engineers</strong> and designers to understand technical requirements for new features and system improvements.</li><li><strong>Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code</strong> to implement discrete features and tasks, such as building out components of our routing and cost-calculation algorithms.</li><li><strong>Learn our existing codebase</strong> and architecture under the guidance and mentorship of the senior team.</li><li><strong>Assist in debugging and troubleshooting</strong> to resolve software defects and improve performance.</li><li><strong>Participate in code reviews</strong> to learn best practices, share your work, and maintain a high-quality codebase.</li><li><strong>Partner with our on-the-ground operations staff</strong> to understand user needs and help implement effective technical solutions.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) or equivalent experience.</li><li>Include your JEE score with your application if you took the JEE.</li><li><strong>0-2 years of software development experience</strong> (strong internship, co-op, or personal project experience is welcome).</li><li><strong>Familiarity with Django is a must have.</strong></li><li>Comfortable with or eager to learn about <strong>AI-driven development</strong> tools and workflows.</li><li><strong>Major plus:</strong> internships or experience at food delivery / quick commerce (Zomato, Swiggy, Zepto, Blinkit, Dunzo, etc.).</li><li><strong>Significant plus:</strong> Experience with Kotlin Compose development.</li><li><strong>Significant plus:</strong> Experience at any other startup, especially international startups.</li><li><strong>Signals we love:</strong> IIT (especially Bombay/Delhi/Madras/Kanpur/Roorkee/Guwahati), exceptional JEE rank (please include in CV), or any standout achievement in any field - tell us something interesting in your CV!</li></ul><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Benefits:</strong> negotiable</li><li><strong>Time:</strong> 40 hrs/week minimum</li><li><strong>Compensation:</strong> $1k–$2k/month + performance bonus</li><li>₹0.91–₹1.82 LPM</li><li>≈ ₹10.91–₹21.82 LPA</li></ul>
